Learn and grow with Family School – Early Childhood School
The KIDS ‘CORNER programme was created as a complement to the LEARN AND GROW system developed by Family School. It is an extracurricular activity aimed at children aged between 3 and 8 years, whose goal is, that through an active English System (the use of English as the only vehicle of communication), our children learn English in an enjoyable way. For this purpose, we have fun and participative proposals so that children relate English with positive experiences, thus awakening their interest. In addition, while having fun, they will be preparing for official certifications such as Cambridge exams, which are essential nowadays.
At KIDS ‘CORNER, we have developed a small groups’ programme two days a week with 1 hour sessions. Homogeneous groups will be formed according to their ages. We are aware that your children have been in school during the whole day, that’s why, our programme consists of many varied activities of short duration which guarantees a lot of dynamism and allows us to keep children “motivated” all the time.
This method seeks to enhance the two most important aspects and less developed by traditional methods: speaking and listening, with a specific programme for this purpose and with teachers who will enhance the phonetics. The activities have a monthly topic so that children are adding new vocabulary and structures associated with each topic (food, animals, the body, the house and the family, colours and shapes …).
At KIDS CORNER we will work following the most modern methodology which has proven to be the most effective so far, based on:
natural learning approach, based on the association of vocabulary and linguistic structures to movements and gestures, designed for ages between 3 and 5 years.
system based on the presentation of the vocabulary and the structures to work, the production and the subsequent practice of them, designed for ages between 6 and 8 years.
approach that introduces English language through non-linguistic subjects (art, music and movement, mathematics, social studies, etc.).
approach based on the four communicative skills (listening, speaking, reading & writing), always paying more attention to listening and speaking.
different types of activities will be worked on, taking into account the diversity of learning styles (visual, auditory and kinesthetic).
